5086 Aluminium Sheet
Aluminum alloy 5086 is a high-strength, non-heat-treatable alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments. Similar to 5083, it is often used in applications that require high strength and resistance to corrosive environments.

| Welding: |
| 5086 is readily weldable using standard methods such as gas, electric, resistance, and spot welding. It has good weldability and performs well in post-weld heat treatment. |
| Corrosion Resistance: |
| 5086 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine environments. It is known for its high resistance to stress corrosion cracking and general corrosion in aggressive conditions. |
| Considerations |
| 5086 is often chosen for its combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Like 5083, it is not heat-treatable but gains strength through strain hardening. |

H116: Strain-hardened from a hot-worked condition, stabilized. The least amount of strain hardening with the highest ductility.
H321: Strain-hardened from a hot-worked condition, stabilized. Similar to H116 but with improved stress corrosion resistance.
O: Fully annealed, soft condition with the lowest strength. Excellent workability for deep drawing or spinning.
